Have you always wanted to immigrate to the US, but you were confused by the numerous types of visas? Worry no more, we're here to help you choose the right visa for your needs!

The kind of visa you need depends on the reason for your travel and is specified by the US immigration law. At Placement International we specialize in work opportunities abroad and visa services. Find out which visa category best fits your needs and personal situation!

J-1 Visa

Through educational and cultural exchange, the Government of the United States is able to foster greater understanding between its citizens and citizens of other nations. This is made possible by the Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange Act of 1961, which also gave rise to the J-1 visa. It encourages worldwide collaboration for the advancement of education and culture, helping to foster cordial, understanding, and peaceful relations between the United States and other nations.

For foreign applicants seeking to visit and work in the United States, the J-1 Visa Bridge offers a wide range of opportunities. The many programs allow foreign nationals to go to the US for periods of time ranging from a few weeks to 18 months to teach, study, conduct research, demonstrate specific abilities, or obtain on-the-job training. And the best of them all? We will help you throughout the whole process, from visa interview preparation to documentation and support during your time abroad!

J-2 Visa

J-2 visa applications are accepted from family members of J-1 visa holders. The J-1 visa holder's spouse and unmarried children (under the age of 21) may come to the United States with them or subsequently join them. As long as the J-1 visa holder maintains official status, the J-2 visa holders may remain in the United States.

OPT Visa

OPT is a perk made possible by US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and it extends the F-1 student status so that you are able to work in the country to get experience in your primary field of study. Only those enrolled in degree programs (Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral degrees) are eligible to apply for an OPT.

TN (NAFTA) Visa

For citizens of Canada and Mexico, there is a special non-immigrant status known as the TN (NAFTA) visa. The 1994 NAFTA agreement led to the creation of the TN visa. It permits citizens of the United States, Canada, and Mexico to work in specific professions in each other's nations. A citizen of Canada or Mexico may work in the USA for up to three years at a time in any of the professions on the TN list.

H-1B Visa

The US H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa that enables American businesses to hire foreign nationals for specialist jobs that call for theoretical or technical skills in specialized subjects including architecture, engineering, mathematics, physics, and medicine. No one can apply for an H-1B visa that would allow them to work in the US. For the employee to be admitted, the employer must apply. There are annual numerical limits on H-1B visas. Six months prior to the H-1B visa's commencement date, US employers can start the application process.
